Definition of Active in English

Active is a term whose etymological root in Latin activus. It is a noun that is used in the field of economics and finance or an adjective that can be used in multiple contexts.

As a noun, an asset or a right that has financial value, which is owned by a person or a company, is called an asset. Assets are recorded in the balance sheets, forming credit.

Various types of assets such as asset, the current assets, the functional active or intangible asset. It can be said that these assets are the resources that allow profit to be obtained.

Among the assets of a wealthy person, there may be two houses, three cars, a motorcycle, a yacht, and a company stock package. As you can see, assets are related to wealth.

It is important to establish that within the sector of the economy, whenever one speaks of assets irretrievably, the concept of liabilities also comes to mind. This we can say is defined as the set of debts that a company owns and that have to do with a third party. Hence, under that term are included from wages to workers such as bank loans held, payment to suppliers…

As a general rule, liabilities can be divided into two main groups: non-callable and callable.

The concept of asset, on the other hand, can be used as an adjective. At a general level, something active is that which acts (in the sense of doing) or is in a position to act. Based on this idea, the term can be used in different ways.

Many times the notion is linked to carrying out activities. An active person is one who carries out different tasks and actions: in the morning he works, in the early afternoon he does physical exercise, then he studies and at night he takes care of his family, to name a case.

At the level of sexuality, the subject who penetrates the other person (who, in this way, becomes passive) is classified as active.

In this area, it must be emphasized that it can also be used to define that person who, regardless of whether or not he or she penetrates his or her sexual partner, is the one who takes the most initiative, who proposes and who executes. Faced with this, the liability can be found, which is the adjective with which one tries to define who prefers to be carried away by her partner, she likes that the other has more of the “singing voice”.

In homosexual relationships, the differentiation between assets and liabilities takes on a special role. However, it also acquires it in those that occur within what is known as BDSM (Bondage and Discipline; Domination and Submission; Sadism and Masochism). In this case, it is usual that there are also the assets that are the people in charge of penetrating their partners with sex toys.

Also in heterosexual relationships known as pegging the active is the woman who penetrates her partner with some kind of toy.
